Another month, another excellent RWCDF luncheon. The business sponsor for our March luncheon was Vicky Zelen, speaking about her own insurance agency, Zelen Risk Solutions, established in 2003. They focus on commercial property and casualty insurance as well as personal homeowners and auto insurance. We appreciate our business sponsors so much!! Our 3rd Vice President, Kathey Seymour, presided over our meeting in our president's absence today and did an amazing job. Gerri Woodham offered our opening prayer, Georgianne Pionessa led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and Ellen Sullivan introduced our wonderful speaker, Mr. Nicholas Primose, Chief, Regulatory Compliance for JAXPORT, also serving in multiple liaison roles with the Jacksonville City Council. We learned so much about the importance of our being a major port city on the Eastern seaboard, the efficiency of our port, and the tremendous value that it is to our community. We're all ready for a tour!! Several of our committee chairs reported on upcoming activities for our club...so many ways to be involved in our club and community! Many of our city leaders were in attendance and our newly elected City Councilman Nick Howland came to thank everyone for their countless hours of hard work during the election. Some of our city officials gave updated reports on city council action and voting information. Each meeting, we're able to hear a short message from multiple Republican candidates who are running for office in upcoming elections. Come and get to know these people so you can make an informed vote on Election Day. Our Republican candidates know that the road to success runs through the RWCDF!! Next luncheon is Thursday, April 14th. Be sure to register...you don't want to miss it!!
